The water supply system is a complex of facilities designed to provide a specific (given) group of consumers (a given facility) with water in the required quantities and quality. In addition, the water supply system must have a certain degree of reliability, i.e., it must ensure the supply of water to consumers without unacceptable reductions in its established performance indicators regarding the quantity or quality of the supplied water (interruptions or reductions in water supply or deterioration of its quality beyond acceptable limits).
After determining the required volume of water consumption for the facility and collecting information about the natural sources available for use, a source can be selected and a water supply scheme planned.
