Pressure sensor and digital pressure gauge. What is the difference?

Quite often we hear the question – what is the difference between a pressure sensor and a digital manometer? First of all, unlike a pressure sensor, a manometer is a device designed to measure and display (not just convert) pressure. In a manometer, the pressure affects the instrument readings, which can be read from its scale, display, or a similar device.

There are several types of manometers: mechanical (liquid, deadweight, deformation), electromechanical, and digital. Manometers are used in all cases where it is necessary to know, control, and regulate pressure.

Keller digital manometers are a universal solution – combining a high-precision pressure sensor with a digital indicator, and depending on the model, the ability to directly connect the device to control equipment, for example, to a control cabinet.

Also, the difference between a digital manometer and a mechanical one is the absence of mechanical parts that can wear out over time, since in Keller digital manometers the pressure acts exclusively on the membrane of the sensitive element, and then the readings are displayed on the screen:
