Description
These level transmitters are designed for applications where very high measurement accuracy is required.
Digital output signal of the transmitters
The 36 X W series includes a piezoresistive sensor and microprocessor electronics with a built-in 16-bit analog-to-digital converter. Temperature error and sensor nonlinearity are compensated by mathematical algorithms. Using the READ30 program and the KELLER cable K-107, the pressure transmitter can be connected to a laptop or computer. The READ30 program also allows reading data and displaying it graphically on a PC. Up to 128 transmitters can be connected into a single bus system.
Transmitter with analog output signal
The integrated XEMICS processor can operate as a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter for output signals of 4…20 mA or 0…10 V. The output signal frequency is 100 Hz (can be adjusted). A digital output signal is available for all analog pressure transmitters.
Programming
Using the KELLER READ30 program and the PROG 30 program, RS485 converter (e.g., KELLER accessories K102 or K107) and a PC, you can display pressure, change units of measurement, and adjust zero. It is also possible to set any values within the measured range for analog output signals.
Level transmitters are available in two versions:
PAA-36XW: Absolute pressure. Zero at vacuum.
This version is recommended to be used together with a barometric sensor on the surface to compensate for atmospheric pressure changes.
PR-36XW: Relative pressure.
A robust cable with a capillary tube is used for communication with the atmosphere. When installed in cold or warm water with high air humidity, these transmitters may be exposed to moisture ingress inside the transmitter. If you cannot place the end of the capillary in a warm dry place, KELLER recommends using an additional filter.
By default, sensors have a digital RS485 output but can also be equipped with an optional analog output: 4…20 mA / 0…10 V. Through the digital output, in addition to the pressure signal, the temperature signal from the sensor can be read, which can be useful for static processes.
