Description
This series of level transmitters is specially designed for applications where space is limited and high measurement accuracy is required.
The 36 X S series is available in two versions:
PAA-36XS: Absolute pressure, zero in vacuum. This version is recommended for use together with a barometric sensor on the surface to compensate for changes in atmospheric pressure. A standard cable without a capillary can be used in this version.
PR-36XS: Relative pressure, zero at atmospheric pressure. A robust cable with a capillary tube is used for communication with the atmosphere. When installed in cold or warm water with high air humidity, these transmitters may be exposed to moisture ingress inside the transmitter. If you cannot place the end of the capillary in a warm dry place, KELLER recommends using an additional filter.
Programming
Using the KELLER READ30 software and the PROG 30 program, an RS485 converter (e.g., K102 or K107), and a PC, you can display pressure, change units of measurement, and adjust zero. It is also possible to set any values within the measured range for analog output signals.
The sensors have a digital RS485 output by default but can also be equipped with a 4…20 mA analog output. Through the digital output, in addition to the pressure signal, the temperature signal at the sensor can be read, which can be useful for static processes.

Connection to PC
Each converter of the 30 series has a digital interface (RS485 half-duplex) that allows: connecting the converter to a PC or laptop using an RS232-RS485 converter (see K102 or K107) or USB-RS485 (K104 or K104B).
