Description
The VA 409 flow relay is used to determine the direction of compressed air and gas flow, especially in looped pipelines.
The VA 409 helps to easily and quickly determine the direction of compressed air flow. Unlike previously used mechanical vane flow relays, the VA 409 quickly detects even minor changes in gas flow direction without any mechanical movements.
Information about the flow direction is transmitted via a potential-free contact (normally closed, max. 60 VDC, 0.5 A) to the VA400/VA420 flow sensor or to an external dispatch system. The direction indication is provided by two LEDs.
When combined into a system with two VA400/VA420 sensors, the device allows for accurate measurement of incoming and outgoing air in looped pipelines.
Advantages
- Detects the slightest changes <0.1 nm/s;
