Description
The air flow sensor for ventilation SS 20.260 meets many requirements, such as a wide measurement range from near zero values to extremely large values. This sensor allows you to avoid cumbersome and error-prone additional measurements. Standard tasks solved by the SCHMIDT SS 20.260 sensor for ventilation systems and industrial processes include the following:
- Energy-efficient monitoring of ventilation system status
- Continuous filter condition monitoring
- Safe flow control in exhaust systems
- Control of air supply flow in industrial furnaces
- Flow measurement in drying processes
The reliable design of the sensor head protects sensitive elements from mechanical damage. Installation on pipelines with diameters from 25 mm to 1 m can be easily performed directly or using a flange or compression fitting. The sensor is placed in the center of the gas flow in a position that ensures the parallel flow passes through the sensor head. Thanks to the special design, the flow does not create interference, and the parallel passage of gas relative to the sensor head leads to self-cleaning of the sensitive elements. To protect against large dust particles, a protective structure is located on both sides of the sensitive elements. Direct contact between the sensitive elements and the medium ensures extremely fast detection of measured parameters. If necessary, the sensor can be easily cleaned by blowing through it or immersing it in water or an alcohol-containing liquid.
Upon customer request, the ventilation flow sensor can be supplied with an integrated temperature sensor, allowing temperature measurement of the medium in the range from -20 to +120 °C without additional installation. The linear output signal provides values in the range of 0…10 V for flow or 4…20 mA for flow and temperature.
