Description

The SCHMIDT SS 20.600 mass gas flow meter is an excellent solution capable of meeting diverse industrial needs. It can be used for monitoring compressed air flow, controlling the flow of various gases supplied for combustion, and recording consumption data. The sensor can measure not only the normalized flow (mass flow) but also temperatures up to 120°C. It can be used on pipelines of various diameters starting from DN25, and the probe length can reach up to 1 meter. If the basic version with an operating pressure up to 16 bar is insufficient, there is a version with an operating pressure up to 40 bar.

Mass Air (Gas) Flow Sensor

This sensor is easy to install: simply tighten the fitting included in the kit, place the sensor in the gas flow, orient the sensitive element relative to the flow and the center of the pipeline, connect the power supply – and the flow meter is ready to operate!

This sensor operates without any moving parts, and the measurement principle used eliminates drift or wear. This allows maintenance to be minimized, periodically blowing and washing the sensitive element depending on the gas contamination.

The special design of the sensitive element can detect normalized flow velocities from 0.2 to 220 m/s. To achieve accurate measurements across the entire velocity range, each flow meter is individually calibrated in a wind tunnel under pressure. For the use of immersion flow meters to measure various gases, special versions are available: for oxygen, CO2, methane. Particular attention should be paid to hydrogen flow measurement (which may become in demand in the near future). This task is also solved with the special SS 20.600 version. For use in potentially explosive environments, the immersion flow meter can be manufactured in an explosion-proof design (ATEX).
