Description
The SS 20.261 flow sensor operates on the principle of a wire thermal anemometer. Therefore, its use in pressurized systems has no significant limitations. The flow sensor measures the gas flow velocity, normalized to standard conditions, regardless of the pressure level (up to 10 bar). The device has two analog output signals 4..20 mA: for temperature and for normalized flow velocity (from 0 m/s to 40, 60, or 90 m/s). The measured normalized flow velocity can be easily converted to volumetric flow (see the table in the specification).
Thanks to the measurement principle of the sensitive element, the sensor can measure over a wide range of velocities from 0.2 to 90 m/s. The flow meter is designed to measure flow rates up to 74,000 Nm3/h in pipes from DN 25 to DN 600. The ability to detect even small gas flows allows this flow meter to be used for leak detection.
Upon customer request, a high-precision calibration of the sensor confirmed by an ISO certificate can be performed. SCHMIDT Technology carries out calibration on a special setup and can be repeated upon customer request.
