Description
Electromagnetic flowmeter — one of the most common types of flowmeters. Flanged electromagnetic flowmeters have been used in various industries for over 50 years and are suitable for any conductive liquids such as water, acids, alkalis, milk, suspensions, etc.
The advantages of electromagnetic flowmeters lie in the absence of moving parts, pressure retention, and minimal maintenance. Flanged magnetic flowmeters are available in a wide range of sizes from DN3 to DN3000 mm and provide bidirectional flow measurement.
The QTLD flowmeter is equipped with a built-in self-diagnosis function, data recording via Bluetooth, and various types of output signals.
The limitation of the electromagnetic flowmeter compared to other types of flowmeters is that it only works with conductive liquids. It is not suitable for non-conductive liquids such as petroleum products and organic solvents. Also, the electromagnetic flowmeter is sensitive to strong magnetic fields in the environment.
The electromagnetic flowmeter is used in various industries, including water treatment, food industry, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, paper industry, chemical monitoring, and others. In metallurgy, it is used to control the flow of cooling water during continuous steel casting, steel rolling, and in steel melting electric furnaces. In the water supply and sewage sector, electromagnetic flowmeters are often used to measure water supply, including finished products and raw water, at water treatment plants.
