Description
SS 20.400 – is a device with minimal response time, perfectly suited for safe use in clean rooms. These sensors measure not only air flow values but also the flow direction. This allows for proper monitoring of all clean zones, including local clean rooms (boxes). Additional measurement parameters also enable more precise air supply control. The sensor is capable of measuring flow values even at very low flow speeds (down to 0.05 m/s). This corresponds to a pressure difference of approximately 0.01 pascal. Flow direction information can be easily output as a relay or analog signal. The device has no moving parts and, thanks to its all-metal design, is GMP-compliant, making it fully cleanable. Due to its characteristics and ease of installation, the sensor can be used for monitoring laminar flows in clean rooms. The ATEX version of the SS 23.400 sensor (category 3G, zone 2) is ideal for use in explosive zones. Note that reducing pressure, especially during production stops, helps save electricity while maintaining the proper level of safety.
Determining air velocity and flow direction can also be useful in other industrial areas:
- Monitoring laminar flow in explosive zones, such as paint shops, RABS, and isolators;
- Measuring supplied air to prevent the formation of explosive atmospheres;
- Controlling the exhaust of contaminated air from premises and much more.
