CS Instruments presents a new development – the vortex ultrasonic flow meter VU 570.
This is a new flow meter for critical and non-standard applications. This device is used for measurements in gas environments with unknown or changing composition, in gas mixtures. It is also suitable for measurements in environments with rapidly changing temperature and pressure drops, as well as at high flow velocities.
The flow meter is independent of the gas composition. It has built-in pressure measurement and temperature
compensation, with a wider measurement range than conventional vortex flow meters.
The VU 570 has significant advantages over conventional mechanical flow meters: no moving parts – no equipment wear. Advantages over conventional vortex flow meters include accurate flow measurement at velocities from 0.3 m/s.
The operating temperature of the flow meter is –40°…+100°C. Such a temperature range indicates the possibility of using the flow meter in harsh climatic conditions. Measurement medium – air, non-aggressive gases and gas mixtures (without condensate).
The sensor is also equipped with one analog output 4…20 mA, pulse output, standard RS 485 (Modbus-RTU) output signals. An Ethernet interface is optionally available.
