CS Instruments, a company established as a leader in the compressed air flow measurement market, presents its new development: a flow meter for wet compressed air VD 500. At the end of the flow meter probe is an integrated pressure sensor that measures differential/dynamic pressure, the value of which depends on the flow velocity. Using the known pipeline diameter, it is easy to determine the exact flow of gas or compressed air.
The new flow sensor is perfectly suited for measurements at high flow velocities. The sensor response time is extremely fast, only 100 ms. Installation and removal of the device can be performed even in pressurized systems using a 1/2" ball valve, and the pipeline diameter can range from DN 20 to DN 500. In addition to the flow value, data on accumulated flow, temperature, and system pressure are output, allowing information on four important compressed air parameters to be obtained.
The specifications of the new flow meter VD 500 define its most suitable application area: during the device development, the main focus was on measuring the actual compressor discharge volume, as well as on easy execution of compressed air audits.
