Now data transmission modules are also available in explosion-proof design

For safe operation in premises with so-called explosive atmospheres, explosion-proof equipment must be used. Previously, Keller only produced primary instruments in explosion-proof designs. Today, we offer you a comprehensive autonomous solution that allows monitoring of level, pressure, and temperature at remote sites or locations where it is difficult to provide constant power from the grid.

This system includes an explosion-proof pressure and temperature transmitter 33/36 XW Ei and a data logger with a GPRS transmitter GSM2-Ei.

GSM2-Ei is a metal box with a built-in explosion-proof battery and two spark protection barriers for connecting one intrinsically safe pressure and temperature transmitter (Series 30XEi or 40XEi). The GSM2-Ei itself must be installed outside the explosive atmosphere.

GSM2-Ei retains all the functions and capabilities of the well-established standard GSM-2 transmitter



The easy-to-use free GSM-2 data management software works as a monitoring, control, and organization station. It collects and displays measurement results received from GSM-2 and stores them in a MySQL database. This software offers various types of functional data exchange tools or network services, also allowing third-party programs to receive this data and integrate it into other existing data reception and storage systems.

The GSM-2 data management software performs the following functions:

— Automatic registration of new measurement sites

— Monitoring of measurement sites

— Remote control (including measurement interval, transmission frequency, and more)

— Operational management of data exchange

— Construction of charts and data tables
